I wanted to make no-bake cookies. Naturally, this led to a grocery trip where I decided, "Imitation vanilla? Pfff. Imma get the real stuff." So I did.
Got home, measured my ingredients, set aside the stuff you have to add in real quick to the side. Mixture boils. I go to grab at the vanilla only to knock it over.
"Okay, okay," I said. "Keep cool. There's more right above your head."
So, one hand stirring the pot, I reach up, grab the box, fumble for a second to open it, and succeed. And then slosh it all over the stove. Gas stove + real vanilla (35% Madagascar Bourbon) = fire.
"D:" I said.
Fire went out, no damage, and the cookies taste
